Got called to a job north of Shannon yesterday to locate the fibre on SH57 so the powerboard could replace a downed pole.
Some poor sod had lost control of their S.U.V at high speed gone through the power pole (dropping the 33kV lines) and ended up 10 meters in a paddock… on fire.

Unexpectedly the police and fire crew were still working on the messy scene when we arrived.

If your out driving – think about your speed and the conditions everyone, I dont want to see any more dead people at work.

+words that burn like fire in my mouth

Arcade Fire – Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) + Rebellion (Lies) 9:25

Sorry for the continued lack of updates.
Work has been crazy, I’m dealing with a new training orgonisation (DJC) Unfortionantly the change from Transfield to DJC has not been a smooth one, with certain completed papers not registerd, various other ones not listed as completed at all etc… I may have to repeat my 2nd block course although I passed it.

And it sounds asthough I have to wait for the Wellington Telstra boys to hold a course because there arent the numbers on my side of things to hold a course anyways?

My daughter is walking, attempting talking and being a general horror trying to climb things, grab things, hide things.

Shes loud and cheeky and I couldnt be prouder.

Not much work has gone into the golf as of recently, thats to be expected though with the lack of money left due to Pearl Jam, ACDC and the Pixies

i know how beat control, do opposites of what you’re told

Them Crooked Vultures – No One Loves Me & Neither Do I 5:10

Thrasher and I got to hang out yesterday, hanging out consisted of her making me walk place’s… IN THE RAIN!
It was actually heaps of fun, managed to explore most of the river’s around Levin, watch Rob and Sarah’s dog “Grace” run off down the beach chasing seagulls etc etc

Sure beats getting drunk and playing xbox 360 on my own all afternoon.

he White Knight was right (that rhymes yeyaaaaah) Them Crooked Vultures album grows on you after a few listens, anyone who listens to “Nobody loves me & neither do I” and doesn’t bang their head at 2 minutes 44 is dead.

Are we living? Or merely Killing time.

I’ve been really really slack… But your used to that, or not reading this anymore…
Anyways update’s, Sarah and Sadie are up North for a freakin month! and I’m starting to suffer separation anxiety only matched by post natal woman, I’m getting over this by calling them every day, and enjoying the lack of toys to trip over in the house ruthless demands when I get home from work and general single male life… it almost makes me pin for the stoner student days of yore.
Seriously though it’s been sucky without my girls… again.

I took the parents to AC/DC in Wellington last Saturday, automatically cemented itself as one of the best gigs I’ve managed to catch, was nice to randomly run into sister Amy and an old old old mate (like Waiopehu, girls have cooties, Halo is the newest videogame ever oldschool) Barney.

I went and impulse buyed Ra’s old Uke, and have been self teaching myself Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here on it slowly but surely.
Then Cheese won tickets to the 7’s this Saturday just been so we partied it up like a pair of crazy mofo’s, Rob and Sarah I apologiz for the mess.
Had a wicked catch up with the White Knight and ended up back home for a day of sleeping on Sunday.

Work wise I’ve just found out im on my last week of provisioning so hopefully the next 3 to 6 months will be a bit more physical labour orientated…

because im fatter than ever, and cant war my favourite bikini to the beach!

Will endeavour to be less slack with blog updates.
