Modest Mouse – Discography

So I’ve made the change over to Downer EDi. which is merging with Works to become Downer New Zealand and you know what, its not all that different to working for Transfield Services.

I’ve been doing Cable locates for the last couple of month’s, which has been great for meeting and getting to know the different contractors from Wellington, through Palmerston North, however It sounds like i’ll be going onto Cable Pressure, which is all good, because its a handy specialty to have up your sleeve (most large trunk cables have pressure pumped through them)

Sadie has to head down to Wellington on Tuesday for an ultrasound, and to become nil-by-mouth until Wednesday when she has surgery, Kevin is coming down again, hopefully this time I’ll be able to help out a bit too, although I have a mandatory Drug test and physical on the Tuesday.

Other than that she’s the happiest little lass I’ve ever met, she ALWAYS manages to cheer me up with the cheeky grin she inherited from her mother, she’s propping herself up onto her knee’s and is very stubbornly teaching herself to crawl (when she isn’t attempting to give her mother a heart attack by gallipoli rolling off everything possible)

Anyways I guess I should go and spend some time with my family now I’ve got some downtime from work

peace out y’all

Bob Marely & The Wailers – Coming In From The Cold – 4:12

The VW is at the mechanic’s, its had its two rear tyres and break shoes replaced, and is currently waiting on a front left headlight to get it warrant.

I’ve been in to several meetings with DownerEDi “Engineering” (soon to be DownerEDi NZ) and I’ve got my new uniforms etc, apparently my new XT mobile comes into my grubby mits on Monday, the same day I head down to Ngarunga to pick up my P.P.E and take my mandatory drug and health test (hopefully nothing nasty will show up)

So things are mostly good, I worked most of the day today, extra money on the weekend will come in handy paying off the mechanic, then at lunch time I ran into Riki from College, who also has a daughter, around the same age as Sadie, which was pretty interesting, He’s been working at Top Glass in Levin for 5 year’s – nice to see another friendly face in the region.

Infected Mushroom – Becoming Insane 3:34

Got the message halfway through my exam for capacitance’s and diode’s.
Sadie pulled through her operation no problem, apparently the Doctor’s were pleasantly surprised as to how happy she was through the beginning and more importantly after the procedure, smiling, flashing them the glad eye etc.

Of course because Sarah’s a woman with woman logic, she didn’t ask what exactly it was they were draining out of our daughter over the period of an hour, so chances are I’ll never know.

So they head home tomorrow. Which is good, Im stuck in Timaru until Saturday, which is less than good.

P.S passed two of my exam’s, and have a good feeling about todays
P.P.S thankyou Kevin (Sarah’s dad)for being there when I couldn’t :)

Janes Addiction – Three Days 8:30

Something I haven’t been too eager to talk about is the fact that Sadie goes in for surgery at Wellington Hospital the next couple of days – shit timing as usual, I asked Sarah (rather selfishly) not to update me on how it goes, as it’d just be another thing to worry about…Well I’m still freaking out a little just knowing that she’s going in.

School wise, we’ve been doing a bit of installation stuff – customer based with Graham Aitken from Wellington – who will be my trainer with downer and Rob from Christchurch, his replacement for next year.
