Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers – Runnin’ Down A Dream 4:38

At this point we still managed to escape knowing the baby’s gender, while still knowing there is absolutely nothing wrong, there is a cist, but the higher quality ultrasound has shown that its not connected to the kidney’s in anyway.

The Dr’s know the babys sex, and I’ve gained a little bit of hope that its a boy, due to the giblets between the legs we were flashed – while the Dr checked the thigh bone’s, that said Im no doctor, and don’t know how to read these thing’s, it could have been the umbilical cord, a smudge of some kind… who knows.

While in Palmerston North I got my windscreen chips sorted out by Novus, $80 for 3 fair chips (one in which was spreading) so piece of mind for my drive up north at the end of the year – start of next year.

HLAH – Im On Fire 4:12

Today was one of those days were everything kind of went right.
First of all I managed to wake up early enough to pop into Ken Masons with the crazy light formations gleaming from the back of the golf.
Or as most car sparkys would call it “bloody European wiring!”

Then somehow, amidst my very bad map, my fathers crazy instructions and heavy Wellington traffic (christmas period) I found my way to Transfeilds Porirua office to have a meeting with one Rowland Bartlett, who was very friendly.
I got the job, and he essentially told me to go back to Levin and hand in my 2 weeks notice a.s.a.p because my first block course would be in early January.

Than we made it back to Levin in time to veiw the house on Gaderner Street, which was a bloody great house, everything I could ask for and more, we are coming up with the bond and taking it this tuesday (moving in next year, after the christmas crap is out of the way)

I stopped in at Ken Masons after all of this, to be told by the lovely Wendy that “I pulled your back lights off, cleaned the terminals, cleaned up a few wires, and at some point the fault disappeard, no charge today”

Bonus, the Dubby is working fine again, and for free.
Good day, everythings gone so right, fingers crossed the important stuff we do tomorrow will turn out good too (baby’s 4d scan) read back to find out the sex :)

Dave Dobbyn – You Outta Be In Love 3:57

Today has been a bit of a mixed bag for me, work was iffy, I enjoy the people I work with on a Thursday morning, but nothing seemed to go right for us today, we were otherwise bored stiff because we had no jobs to do, and there where no customers, as soon as a truck driver arrives with a load of food we need to get counted/ checked and scanned into our stocktake etc all hell breaks loose.

The V.W is having trouble with its rear brake lights, therefore my wallet is having trouble holding onto money.

My old boss Graham popped into my work for a coffee, looked much less stressed then I remember, complaining about Sunny Grove, having trouble getting rid of one of his houses, Robs (and anyone else’s for that matter) lack of interest in painting for him etc.

We got a call back for a great house we’ve been looking at on Gardener street, just up the road from my parents, and can view it sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Then I managed to get on the computer to find the best picture of me I’ve seen in a while (and I love me)

YAY! Moving!

and then I read this, followed by a phone call from Anna

+on Scan Updates

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

Axel Coon – Lamenting City 3:31

No scan today, we sat down and had a chat with two specialists, who have booked Sarah in for a scan next week.
Essentially they just wanted to chat about a few thing’s, get some family history from both of us etc etc.

Sarah and I may have to find out the babys sex during the next scan, as the specialists need to know it.
Essentially if its a girl it could be a fairly normal thing which they’ll leave to sort itself out, if its a boy they’ll have their work cut out for them.
On top of this it could just be a bad scan and nothing, so I’m just not going to bother worrying until I’m told to start worrying.

Tegan And Sarah – Back In Your Head 3:02

Anna Gilcrist just called me up, to say that she would like to call me in to go through transfeilds hiring process, my next meeting with transfeild will be on Monday the 15th or Tuesday the 16th.
So I may have a new job before Christmas, which would be great because I could go up North with my missus, the unborn child all my family and her family – and have a good time.

Rather than sitting behind a counter in a depressing petrol station dealing with pissed off christmas customers who can’t see the bright side of light, and therefore blot out any bright side I may have while at work.
And I mean there isn’t too much to be gloomy about, sure we now have an evil government plunging us further into debt, the worlds in a recession, Porsche is trying to buy out VW (and therefore Audi) cats and dogs are getting along and the whole world is topsy turvy.
But fuel dropped another 5 cents today, I can now fill my car up with 98 octane for the same price as 91 six months ago, which is great, because the golf doesn’t do cheap unleaded fuel.

Wish me luck.
