They make the best ads.

I got a call back from Transfeild, just to say thank-you for submitting a CV, to ask/ confirm some questions and to tell me that they’d get back to me in the next few days to tell me wither I continue with the apprenticeship or not, exciting time, exciting times…

I start at BP Connect Levin at 5:30am tomorrow morning, so getting up early will be a mission, im still used to my night-shift antics, staying up till the early hours watching movies etc, Morning shifts might work in my favour when the sprog drops, dropping dead from exhaustion in the afternoon will mean that early morning screaming can be dealt with… its kind of weird to think about.

I got the latest NZPC, not their best read, was interesting to see quite a few people in agreement with me that the magazine is following certain trends and not throwing in many different car’s.
Their answer that “although you raise a good point, I don’t think that would ever be possible because there just aren’t enough of them out there” is mind numbingly untrue, if they took it upon themselves to do their jobs and scout these things out they’d find quite a strong scene in NZ full of unique rides ranging from (face it im biased) mighty Volkswagens and Euro’s to the cheap man’s Korean beast’s, if the criteria is purely a nice paint job and shiny engine Jay Wehi’s Suzuki Alto could be a feature car, at least it wouldn’t be part of the perpetual cycle that is RX7, EVO, SKYLINE, RX7, EVO, SKYLINE, RX7, EVO, SKYLINE.

While on the subject of tuners, I’d like to give a shout-out of sorts to the driver of the “Frosty Paws Honda Integra DC8″ of the New Zealand Targa Rally, who raced me from Paraparaumu to Otaki, I beat you didn’t expect a VW Golf to stick with you, especially considering your car seemed to have been stripped of all its interior, while I’d just put all of mine back in.
Good fun, nice car, good to see quite a few people flying the red honda badge at these events.

Sarah flew up North on Wednesday night, Riki took the opportunity in Wellington to take me to one of his favourite bar’s, The Bus Stop in Newton.
It wasn’t what I had expected, well okay, it was half of what i expected, there was a pokies down the back, full of mind numbingly stupid drones, piling coin after bloody coin into their shiny imbecile traps, “I call him GAMBLOR! and it’s time to save your mother from his neon claws!”

So we are in Levin, living outta boxes at the moment, Wicket is getting used to the idea of sharing humans with another cat and the dogs, the “black bastard” (Rikis cat, with an all so politically correct name) is being as friendly as he can, much to Wickets annoyance, every time he turns around the bloody cats their ready to play/ hang out etc, and it sickens him!

Tomorrow is Sarahs last day of work, We are looking atg doing our last shift North on Monday or Tuesday, Wicket *The Coonlett* will no longer be a handsome young bacholer cat of the city, rather a regular house cat from a small town (who has to share his vast estate with another cat and two dogs) I had written up a mass invite for drinks Friday night, but for some reason it hadnt been published, so sorry to all who missed out (You Jim, and CJ) Thanks to all you work mates who turned up earlier on, and the Boys who kept me up till 2 something in the morning, cranking Tiny Dancer, Freebird and all the usual chant-a-longs.
