Pregnancy Week 9

Not much to report in, I worked over the weekend, trying to run the cafe, Pete plans on spending some time getting me up to scratch soon, so that should be good.

At tec we’ve been doing soup’s… made enough fucking soup to drive even the largest soup lover crazy… I’m sick of soup, I’m sick of flavoured liquid, you hear me? sick sick sick.

Looking forward to a visit from Duff and Sonja this Friday, might have some drinks Friday night if anyone is keen to unwind after another unruly week at work/ course/ whatever they’ve been doing.

So that a quick catch-up nothing too interesting this week I have to say, I got my new car soon. and work this weekend, fingers crossed some arse-clown ruins my weekend so I can blog about it

Peace.

A Perfect Circle – Gravity 5:06

Sorry bout the quality of these pics, they’re a little blurry, not that you can tell what they are anyways.
However my mother… a nurse, assures me that there is a head, and a spine and some arm stub thingys.

I present you, the fruit of my loins.
(the black patch is the baby? i think? the grey circle around it is the embryonic sack, and the rest is Sarah’s belly)

Yes its a blob

peanut, tadpole, bean…

Freaky huh? its like growing inside my missus

Next – Too Close 3:47

The car I’ve decided to purchase has been lingering around the back of my conscience since I was about 16.
For you see, it belonged to my next door neighbor, Terry.
Its a VW Golf (Mk 2) garbed in Japanese fast bits from the tuner company COX.

Terry moved to China several years back and the Car came into my older brothers possession, I was furious that he got it so cheap (around the time I picked up the integra) I have a thing for this certain shape car, my all time favourite car secretly is the Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione II… yes the Europeans knew how to do a fucking hot hatch.

Matt had it for sale online, And was apologising to me when he said “wait a minute, do you want to buy it?” and that was it, I had to.
So I’m getting it at a significantly marked down price, on the proviso Matt gets to give it a drive when he comes over to visit from Aus… great deal in my books.

I’ve named the project “Panda-kampfwagen” as my father always called VW’s Nazi-mobiles, and its in a very tasteful panda black and white colour.

It’s in Levin awaiting the pricing for a resprayed door and a few touch up’s, but I’ll drop some photo’s of my “pre-baby baby” onto the site/ flickR in the near future.

This morning was quite rough, I managed to get to course and into the kitchen 3 minutes late, so PJ sent me (and 4 other guys) away for the day, I’m now officially playing catch up.
No-one to be pissed off at except for myself. Wont be late for class again.

Rob if your reading this, you keen to show me how to do some mean stocks? I’ll work for free some morning off or something for the knowledge?

Cleaning rosters? what are your thoughts on them? our flats just written one up, will be interesting to see if people stick to it, or wither it just becomes another reason for everyone to argue and get pissy at one another…

Bob Rivers – Feelin Boobies 1:15

Day two of my first aid training was somewhat less enjoyable than day one, for starters the paramedic taking the class had an attitude, didn’t introduce himself, told us we were about 1/4 the way through the first day and wasting our and his time…

After about half an hour of being treated like children, one of the class members with a little more life experiance spoke up, and basically asked him who the fuck he thought he was, why he was wasting our time and money. instead of getting on with the course, and why he was treating his class mates like a pack of children.

Instead of stepping back and deciding to get on with the class, we got three qauters of an hour discussion on who was right and or wrong to be speaking to eac h other in which ever way.

Anyways, eventually we got through the bloody class and away from the tutor paramedic from hell, and ended up as a class of trained first aiders, ready to take on whatever is thrown at us yadda yadda ya.

From there I was summoned to Matt’s place to pick up some free stuff, and cut a deal to buy a car (one less thing to worry about) so the Mazda will be for sale in the near future.
Lets just say my model car collection has become larger and nerdier than ever, thanks to Matt moving to Brisbane.

First Ultrasound Today! Definate time frame now, Baby is due on the 28th of Febuary 2009, and will be exactly 8 weeks of age tomorrow :)

Utada Hikaru – Passion 4:36

Today we had the red cross in, part one of our two day first aid course, I’m now pretty comfortable preforming C.P.R on a whole range of people, the old ambulance driver even gave some handy hints for infants and pregnant woman, which I took special note of.

Was pretty fun, good chance to mingle with more of my fellow classmates, suss people out some more, For some reason the second half of the class made me feel ill, open wounds, missing limbs that kind of thing, I never used to be so queasy when it came to the thought of blood, but I think I’ve actually grown afraid of it? I some how managed the chi it through the lesson without fainting/ vomiting.

Then came home to find this in my inbox.

too many too quickly
I’m gonna be a dad!

Yeaaaaayaaaaaaa, no tighty whiteys for me, I forget why I was shaking my huge thing around, possibly someone told me to pull my trousers up and got a face full of this, possibly just for a bit of fun… pretty horrific image whatever the story is.

Anyways always happy to find old pictures of me in the old inbox, provided they aren’t filled with too much debauchery (some things are better left forgotten) and filth.

Pregnancy Week 7/8

Another early day today, I had to use the flats smaller shower, because I didn’t want to disturb our furry house guest.
Then we had several hours of fire safety lectures, covering basically everything the old fella from the fire brigade felt like banging on about, from driving your car off a cliff, to how the dispatcher will talk to you on the phone.

Eventually we headed out to K Block (near the abandoned High School) and had a play around with various fire extinguisher’s/ fire blankets/ alternative means of killing a fire, it was a good chance to finally suss up the other students in the class, figure out who’d be worthwhile working with in group scenarios, and who just cant listen to instructions/ hinder my own progress.
(I know it sounds terrible, but I’m taking this as seriously as I can)

During this time Sarah got to the doctors for her appointment, Yes we really are pregnant, around 7 to 8 weeks, and we’ve booked Friday for some scans etc, apparently our baby will now have a heart beat, so that quite exciting.

I then got home and collected the grey kitten to take to Newton’s S.P.C.A, was a little hard as Sarah had gotten more attached to it then she’d been letting on, but its in the best hands it could be, The kittens overall friendliness must’ve helped as the lady checking it over seemed quite positive that this particular kitten would find a home (I made sure to ask, as I’m a little bit attached too) after a clean/ some anti biotics for his/her eye.

From there we were off to island bay for some comfort food for Sarah, who was clearly missing her latest attachment (not me though I’m as tough as steel, you hear me steel!!!) Now off for a cup of tea and a biscuit before my afternoon nap.
