You can hide your eyes, you can dim the lights, but they are watching!

So my car has been to an auto electrician, who diagnosed it as the gearbox, I sat on it, and eventually took the little white beast to a trusted mechanic (C.J Automotive Levin) who pulled something out of the gearbox and basically explaimed, “well thats sketchy” the verdict?

Along with the entire engine, the gear box has been pieced together with various parts from various cars (Mazda 323’s, Ford Lasers yadda yadda) where my speedo cable connects to the gearbox has been completely chewed to bits, and why? because whoever owned the car before me, put the wrong (cheap) piece in.

The end result? Craig reckons a fairly easy, but timely (and therefore expensive) job, pulling the gearbox out, apart and swapping the (now two) pieces over, at the same time I’m getting the hole in the exhaust sorted, and fingers crossed we’ll have one warrantable car.

Vast – The Last One Alive 3:38

I’m sick, Ive been working at BP for less than a week and I’m already taking my second day off.
It all started when I visited my family on Sunday, since then Mum and Dad have called the ambulance in for Riki, who they thought had meningitis, Jolene has spent a few days sick, Dad spent three vomiting, and I started up yesterday morning, by waking up and (sorry to the queasy) filled the dunny with butt juice (I’m currently thinking of a funnier way of saying diarrhea).

I thought I’d got Salmonella from bad Mc Donalds chicken, so was ready to go to the hospital, I called work up to say I’d be late or a no show, then my mother to explain I was heading into Hutt Hospital, she stopped me dead right there, the entire family has caught something, I suggest you come home (for my flatmate’s sake) and you’ll probably be off work for the next 3 days, so instead of Hutt Hospital, I got prodded by some lovely Canadian lady at the Horowhenua Medical Clinic, and given a Dr’s certificate.

Anyways, my poo is still liquid, I’m still vomiting, which means I’m still not making a quick buck.

While I’m in Levin I’ll try get my car sorted, two birds with one stone.

Thanks to whatever jerk drove into my car, the rear bumper needs replacing, because its damaged in such a way that the boot will not close, so at some point there is a definite Pick-A-Part mish in the books, I’m going to price up the parts to do a injected conversion while I’m there, must talk to Rob about changing the ECU and how hard it will all be before I even bother.

Dad called up and it seems the gearbox – speedo problem will be easy to fix, basically, I drive up to Levin Sunday night, take it into the mechanic Monday morning and drive away within the hour a happy man.

Problems, Theres a dent in my back bumper WTF, I hate BP Waiwhetu, I don’t trust the area, my car is picking up dent’s like a greasy rich man going through his midlife crises picks up slutty uni girls at sandwiches on a Saturday night.

One thing fixed at a time, speedo, then Pick A Part for the heat sensor, then a new fucking back bumper and front left fender.

Youngins out there take note – DON’T BUY A CAR, they end up just costing you fucking money.

oh and then theres the hole in my exhaust pipe, swapping the carby for injection, GTX mirrors and seats, new rims and shoes, brakes, front shocks coil overs, getting rid of the tow bar, cleaning the fucking thing, its Warro, and Rego (in 2 days).
