A GaZillion Apologies

Are we living? Or merely Killing time.

I’ve been really really slack… But your used to that, or not reading this anymore…
Anyways update’s, Sarah and Sadie are up North for a freakin month! and I’m starting to suffer separation anxiety only matched by post natal woman, I’m getting over this by calling them every day, and enjoying the lack of toys to trip over in the house ruthless demands when I get home from work and general single male life… it almost makes me pin for the stoner student days of yore.
Seriously though it’s been sucky without my girls… again.

I took the parents to AC/DC in Wellington last Saturday, automatically cemented itself as one of the best gigs I’ve managed to catch, was nice to randomly run into sister Amy and an old old old mate (like Waiopehu, girls have cooties, Halo is the newest videogame ever oldschool) Barney.

I went and impulse buyed Ra’s old Uke, and have been self teaching myself Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here on it slowly but surely.
Then Cheese won tickets to the 7’s this Saturday just been so we partied it up like a pair of crazy mofo’s, Rob and Sarah I apologiz for the mess.
Had a wicked catch up with the White Knight and ended up back home for a day of sleeping on Sunday.

Work wise I’ve just found out im on my last week of provisioning so hopefully the next 3 to 6 months will be a bit more physical labour orientated…

because im fatter than ever, and cant war my favourite bikini to the beach!

Will endeavour to be less slack with blog updates.

Computers Want Me Dead – We Walk In Circles 4:07

Ended up having a wicked day working out the river, sucked up plenty of sun, and thankfully the aerial span wasn’t too much of a mess.
Tomorrow is my last day for a bit, and Sarah’s already planning on getting me to ferry her off to the Hawkes Bay, Personally I’d like to spend some time sitting in my own space for once this holiday season, maybe hit the beach and visit some more friends – possibly catch up with Steve and Kai properly.

snapchart

We’ll see who has the larger will (read; we will see how long until Sarah gets her way) I’m fed up with driving, so far in the last few months we’ve done Northland, Auckland, Te Puke and several days ago I drove to Taupo and Back to pick them up, not to mention the excursions down south and around the place on a regular basis… So I rally can’t be farked with tripping this long weekend.

Deep Dish ft. Stevie Nicks – Dreams 3:47

Wow so many great things to update about, lets begin with Steve Joyce, Here’s a man who has nearly converted me to the dark side of supporting the national party.
In his short time in office he’s managed to do what local government should have done in the 50’s, he’s come in swinging his gigantic nut sack and given Transmission Gully the go ahead, its quit funny that the wench who throws rate payers money around down there has jumped on the bandwagon, now that her rate payers dont have to pay towards it, but i’ll take a $5 shot in the mouth for some fucking progress around here, so a toast to Mr Joyce for seeing some sense, its about time!

Christmas, Jesus is not the bloody reason for the season.
Pagans were celebrating this time of year with light festivals, tree’s etc when Jesus and God where idea’s in some sick schizophrenics head, maybe that’s a little harsh – far be it from me to judge people on there belief’s, seriously though I listen to a fair bit of Newstalk ZB these days and the religious idiocy over this bloody Joseph and Mary in bed billboard has had me in stitches, These people are happy to judge everyone unchristian, and as soon as an arch decon throws up a questionable billboard in the name of making good conversation – may I add getting more people interested in a religion so out of touch with people its not funny – they get violent, start preaching hate and inevitably sin by defacing it and then stealing it, shame on you 90% of ZB’s fanbase (read; the elderly) and a toast to the arch decon, I hope the billboard finds its way back up soon.

Oh and by the way, the reason for the season is family and friends you self serving small minded bible bashers.
We had our’s early so it’s outta the way.

Mike D moving back to Levin – How awesome is that, we can frolic through the long grass once again, plat each others silky hair and have pillow fights!
Seriously though great new’s Levin is great and all but I miss most of my old flatmate’s/ friends, and I could use the cat eyed ones help on the car when I get to my next point.

We’ve found a home to buy, in our price range, with a huge sub dividable back lawn, we’ve done the math and can afford it all, so pending on the bank giving us the go ahead there could be a very excited update in the near future, I’m extra excited because “She Who Must Be Obeyed” has agreed to let me build a decent sized shed for the golf, one step closer to a track toy!

Family – For those not in the know, Riki is back from Australia, its great having him around again, Sadie nearly loves him as much as her Grandad.
Oh and Sadie is standing on her own, dancing and drumming on thing’s, every day I come home from work and she manages to cheer me up, finally someone who loves music as much as me, She and Cia are heading up to the in-laws for Christmas, I’m working through (hence the aforementioned “early Christmas”) So I may pop down to Welly in the evening…

Anyways happy pagan light festival everyone
And a merry Christmas too.

Smosh – Sex Ed Rocks 4:28

Went to Whangarei for a family re-union, which was alright, I took Sarah and Sadie to Kelly Tarltons for the first time ever, which was just as cool as I remembered – a must see attraction for a visit to Auckland.
photos to come

Riki took us all on a Tiki Tour of Northland, Several Waterfalls (on in which Riki was going to cannonball off of) later we headed to Whale Bay, The place is fucking magic! Mustive swam around there for two odd hours, Sadie even had a dip with her mum, it was just a really really good day.
photos to come

Things went up a notch when I got a last minute ticket to go see Pearl Jam, Cheese hooked me up with a ticket and place to stay, a bloody awesome place to stay, right beside the Britomart station infact (Marcure) Two days in the C.B.D hooked up in a ritzy hotel was cool, knowing that your about to notch another of the big bands you’ve always wanted to see off your list was over the top.

– a random side note –
We saw this funny as fuck band on T.V thought I’d share

—-

So the day came to go see Pearl Jam, Ben Harper and Liam Finn, all great acts, we decided to take the train in.
First Impressions of Britomart Station = AMAZING what a class building.
Second Impressions of Britomart Station = Why are we wasting this on the Jaffa’s?

The trains shake about worse than the Johnsonville line in Wellington, although theyre alot flasher than our clean green electric jobbies, th unit we took was full of Young, drunk fuckheads who took it upon themselves to piss off the Large Maori ticket collector by ignoring very sign not to drink, smoke and be an utter fuckhead plastered around the place while loudly proclaiming that thy live in greenhythe and never take the train.

Anyway… we (Daniel, His little Sister Anna and myself) rode the train, walked up Mt. Smart got some beer and sat down to watch Liam Finn with EJ Barnes, the atmosphere down the back was perfect for his style of music, people were seated enjoying beer in the sun building up to “Second Chance” the crowd went nuts for him.

Ben Harper was much the same for me, chilled out down the back, while he played everything I wanted to hear on slide guitar, on top of that, we got a cover of queens (feat david bowie) under pressure with Eddie Vedder making his first appearance of the night the crowd really started to surge up around this point…

To be continued… Tomorrow I’ll tell you about the headliner, catching up with Jolene, Aucklands nightlife and the shitty handling of public transport after the gig.

Nikola Sarcevic – Love Trap 3:13

p1040176

p1040179

Sadie learned how to pout at the hospital, and shes been using it as a weapon ever since.
I pick my ladies up on Monday.

p1040186

p1040194

p1040195

The first car I’ve owned which is under 20 years in age, also the first car I’ve bothered to get insurance on, while talking about insurance therefore money blah blah blah, the registration for the golf came in today, over a hundy for 6 months! what’s up with that, I’m fairly sure 6 months ago when i registered her, it cost me $64???

Anyways tossing up weither to run it until the WOF runs out also, or just put it on restoration now, the big seller being a 4pot 1.8L is a buttload cheaper than 3.5L V6 around town, then I can just use the Mitsi as a leather clad shopping trolly and holiday cruiser…

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Zero 4:54

Sadie came out of surgery and had dropped alot of weight, I could hardly recognize her, however she bounced back big time, and is once again the happiest little critter ever.

Apparently she is now full time formula (I havent seen her or her mother in a week as theyre up north visiting family)

I bought a new car, its a 1997 Mitsubishi Diamante 3.5ei (3.5L V6 Electronic Injection) Its the top of the line model for its year, with electric seats, full leather, CD stacker etc etc, the main reason for doing this was to get sarah off my back about how poorly suited the Golf is for a family, but other reasons include the chance to get the golf ff the road and start it as a project car finally, to get credit history (ive managed to survive up until now without one) something a bit bigger – particularly for longer trips to visit the in-laws, something a bit safer yadda yadda ya.

So never fear the golf is still in the family, and its still very much my biggest hobby (not to mention a money pit) one day I’ll be able to teach Sadie how to drive in it… really fast… around Taupo track 2

Lifes to do list.
-Find a suitable house, get a mortgage before the world crawls ut of the house its in (double garage or garage with carport)
-Electrician course (something to look into after Telco Level 3/4)
-Sarahs licence sorted
-Buy a boxer puppie

Oh and last but not least congrats to Hayley and Jared, your daughter is gorgeous guys
